Children’s Future Art Project, A Ride Enjoyable for Everyone including Children and the ElderlyChildren’s Future Art Project,

We have interviewed Ms. N, a second grader from Kijo Elementary School in Japan, whose artwork has been selected to be part of “Children’s Future Art Project”: a project where ideas drawn by children are brought to reality through the technology of MURAN Engineering Team. We heard her thoughts and feelings behind her artwork.

“Hop Hop Car: A Ride Enjoyable for Everyone including Children and the Elderly”

The title of her artwork is “Hop Hop Car”; It’s a vehicle for single person use that utilizes the power of a pogo stick spring to inflate a balloon, which then bursts to propel the vehicle. (What a groundbreaking idea!) Ms. N mentioned, “The key point was to widen the feet placement area so that anyone can ride it without worrying too much about balancing.” Additionally, to make the vehicle usable by people of all ages, she has thought of features such as height-adjustable handle and sitting-down mode.

Ms. N came up with this idea when she was struggling to balance on a pogo stick. She thought that adding wheels and a big board might make it easier to ride. It is interesting that her idea was based on her own experience.

“If this vehicle becomes a reality, I want to ride it to visit my friends,” said N. She was detail-oriented when it comes to practicality of the vehicle, including handles and brakes. The MURAN Engineering Team has expressed their enthusiasm towards the project, saying, “We will do our best to incorporate her ideas and create a safe, easy-to-use vehicle that lives up to the name of DENSO.”

Be sure to check out how her wonderful artwork will be brought to life on the day of MURAN!
