Children’s Future Art Project, Soda-Powered Single-Person Helicopter

We have interviewed Ms. N, a second grader at Sumiyoshi Elementary School in Japan, whose artwork has been selected to be part of “Children’s Future Art Project”+-

: a project where ideas drawn by children are brought to reality through the technology of MURAN Engineering Team.. We heard her thoughts and feelings behind her artwork.

Soda-Powered Single-Person Helicopter

The title of her artwork is “Soda-Powered Single-Person Helicopter.” It’s a single-person helicopter with a propeller attached to a backpack, which uses the power generated from soda tank to fly around the sky! This eco-friendly idea of using the power of soda came to Ms. N’s mind when a drinking straw floated up on the soda she was drinking. In addition, her idea is practical in a way that the backpack lets the user carry items needed for the trip. In her artwork, she has put her effort not only into the helicopter, but the scenery too, such as the beautiful rainbow and mountains, as well as the excitement of the flight. If the helicopter in the artwork becomes a reality,  Ms. N wants to visit her friend living in Vietnam. What a lovely idea!

During her interview, she asked the MURAN Engineering Team, “Will we be able to fly like this in the future?” We are looking forward to seeing how Ms. N, who has a strong desire to fly freely in the sky, reacts to the soda-powered helicopter brought to life. MURAN Engineering Team has expressed their enthusiasm towards the project, saying, “We will work together as a team to bring Ms. N’s wonderful artwork close to what she envisions.”

Stay tuned to see how her wonderful artwork will be brought to life on the day of MURAN!
