Children’s Future Art Project, A Step Towards the Futuristic car

Hello, It’s been a while! This is † MasAshI† from the MURAN PR Team!

This time, I would like to introduce one of the awardees of “Children’s Future Art Project,” a project where ideas drawn by children are brought to reality through the technology of MURAN Engineering Team.

The Fusion of Music And ScienceA Step Towards the Futuristic car

Mr. Y, a fourth-grader at Futaba Elementary School who we interviewed, is a boy who loves music and has an inquisitive mind. He spends 2 to 3 hours every day practicing electronic organ to perform at competitions. He is also very interested in environmental and social issues, where he clips articles from children’s newspapers that catch his attention and summarizes them in a notebook.

The theme of his artwork is an electric vehicle that converts sound waves into energy and stores it in a battery. Battery can be charged through Music performances at home, as well as every time the radio or music gets played in the car. What an innovative idea!

One of the reasons he came up with this idea is his interest in the global warming effect caused by CO2 emissions from gasoline cars, which he learned from children’s newspaper. Even current electric vehicles, which are considered environmentally friendly, take time to charge and will run out at some point, so he searched for a new source of energy that is environmentally friendly and inexhaustible. Since he plays electronic organ, using sound came up to his mind. Furthermore, the exhibition he saw at the Nagoya City Science Museum, where objects moved with the vibration of sound waves, led him to think that sound waves have energy and could be a new source for the car.

I was so amazed by the detailed logic behind his artwork. The commitment to convert music into the car’s energy, instead of just noise, conveys a great passion for pursuing what he loves so much. It inspired me to have a same level of passion when I do things.

To turn this wonderful concept into a reality, the MURAN Engineering Team will do their best to realize children’s dreams. Please visit the MURAN venue on the day of the event to see the futuristic car, where music and science merge!
