About This Work
Stray animals and rodents often crawl under car bonnets to seek warmth, especially at night or in cold weather. They can scratch or damage internal parts such as wire harnesses and fuel hoses, leading to breakdowns and accidents that cause customer dissatisfaction and repair costs.
The proposed solution is a compact, motion-sensing, low-power vibration unit installed under the bonnet. A passive infrared (PIR) sensor detects any movement and converts it into low-frequency vibration pulses that drive animals away whenever something unusual is detected.
